Tech Demo: Javascript based image magnifier

August 6th, 2008

A javascript based image magnifier. This is great for products or
schematics. The user moves a light box over the small image. Next to
that, a blow-up image is zoomed and scrolled accordingly. Aside from Scriptaculous, this demo uses only 60 lines of javascript!

    @dia
    Thanks for the compliment.
    It uses the scriptaculous javascript library which is free/open source. But the magnifier is a product/service I sell to clients. Therefore I cannot give it away. That would make some clients quite unhappy!
    But if you learn scriptaculous well enough you can put it together yourself as well: http://script.aculo.us/
